IJLAPS, International Jaamia of Languages and Professional Studies, was established in Diani, Kenya in 2021. For 5 years, we have been the only school of our kind on the South Coast: offering 19 languages, professional training courses, and vocational skills under one roof.
We are based in Ukunda, at the heart of Diani. Our students are local Kenyans building their careers, expats and visitors learning Swahili, professionals gaining new qualifications, and community members seeking Islamic education.
What makes IJLAPS different is not just what we teach, it is where we teach it. We are part of this community. Our teachers are from the coast. Our courses are designed for the opportunities and realities of life and work in Diani and across Kenya.
